Systems and V&V Engineer.
About the position:
As a Systems and V&V (Verification and Validation) Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work in an international and multidisciplinary team, responsible for the specification, verification, validation and qualification (SEV&V) of solutions for our customers.
The Air Mobility Solutions (AMS) SEV&V team is responsible for contributing to the specification, testing and qualification of TopSky and AMHS solutions, participating in the entire cycle of concept definition, system design, integration and qualification.
You will work in a technically challenging and exciting domain, which involves the integration of air traffic control and information management systems with sensors. These complex systems include advanced solutions in the areas of information processing, data management, user interaction and visualization of information from sensors.
Main responsibilities:
- Communicate with stakeholders to identify system objectives
- Create infrastructure engineering definitions/designs
- Translate customer needs into engineering requirements
- Collaborate with project management and design authorities to ensure all TopSky deployment work is completed within established timelines and standards
- Provide operational/functional support to end users and internal engineering teams, Resolving technical queries
- Writing test cases to verify system requirements
- Tracking and validating corrective actions from problem reports (PCR), in coordination with various engineering disciplines and teams
- Performing validation tests, in coordination with customer representatives, during Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Field Acceptance Tests (SAT)
- Providing detailed reports of test results and presenting to the management team and external customer
Key relationships:
- Engineering teams: collaborate to provide engineering services and achieve delivery results
- Project delivery teams: provide engineering services to support project execution
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year’s experience in a similar role
- Degree in Engineering (e.g. Computer Science, Electronics, Telecommunications) or Air Traffic Control
- Experience in systems engineering, verification and validation of complex systems, preferably in the air traffic control domain
- Experience in test preparation and execution: documentation, testing, problem analysis, defect reports, etc.
- Previous experience in the Air Traffic Control domain will be considered a plus
Other requirements
- Oral and written proficiency in English
- Willingness to travel internationally for up to 1 month every 2 or 3 months
- Good communication skills and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams
- Availability for hybrid model: 3 days in the office and 2 in the home office
- Tendency to migrate to a 100% face-to-face model in the medium term (office in Quinta da Fonte, Paço de Arcos)
- During the first 3 months: full presence in the office (5 days a week) for training and integration into the team
