Senior Application Support and Infrastructure Engineer


Requirements

Assignment context Senior application-support and infrastructure role covering data-processing, metrics and reference-data applications, with responsibility for production reliability, automation and architecture alignment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and resolve production incidents and coordinate technical operations and changes.

• Work across development, systems administration, database and networking teams during change execution.

• Document application components, architectures, operational procedures and monitoring requirements. • Manage backup operations and perform regular restoration tests.

• Monitor applications and infrastructure against service levels and capacity requirements. • Automate and improve procedures and contribute to the architecture of new applications. 

Mandatory requirements

• At least nine years of experience in comparable application-support or infrastructure roles.

• Strong Linux and Windows knowledge and experience with VTOM or another industrial scheduler.

• Shell, Python or PowerShell scripting.

• JBoss, Tomcat, Apache or IIS and relational databases such as Oracle, Sybase, SQL Server or MySQL.

• Infrastructure backup and monitoring experience, ideally Zabbix or Grafana.

• LDAP, firewalls, reverse proxies, Active Directory, Kerberos and basic networking.

• English at minimum B2 and a strong DevOps mindset.

Preferred / differentiating requirements

• Experience in highly regulated or business-critical environments. • Proven ability to automate recurring support and infrastructure procedures.
