Senior Oracle PL/SQL Developer


Requirements

Assignment context Senior database-development role in a small application team, combining Oracle PL/SQL engineering, application evolution, testing, production support and on-call responsibilities. 

Key responsibilities

• Analyse requirements and design and develop new and enhanced application capabilities.

• Develop and optimise complex Oracle SQL and PL/SQL code with strong emphasis on performance.

• Implement and maintain batch, web, web-service and desktop application components.

• Execute testing, application support and on-call activities.

• Contribute to CI/CD, test-driven development and potential Big Data initiatives. 

Mandatory requirements

• More than nine years of database-development experience with strong Oracle SQL and PL/SQL expertise. • Complex-query design, SQL performance analysis and optimisation.

• C# and .NET Framework 4.5.

• Batch processing scheduled through Control-M.

• ASP.NET MVC, Web API, Angular, WCF and WPF exposure.

• Code versioning, CI/CD and TDD practices.

• English at minimum B2 and strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills. 

Preferred / differentiating requirements

• Hadoop, Sqoop, Spark or Solr.

• French language proficiency.

• Financial-services domain knowledge.
