Description
Responsibilities
– Design, develop, and optimize Talend ETL/ELT workflows for data integration, migration, and transformation.
– Build scalable data pipelines across databases, cloud platforms, and APIs.
– Collaborate with business analysts and data architects to translate requirements into integration solutions.
– Implement data validation, quality checks, and error-handling mechanisms.
– Maintain documentation for ETL mappings, workflows, and operational procedures.
– Monitor and troubleshoot Talend jobs to ensure reliability and performance.
Requirements
Years of experience
– 3+ years in ETL development, data integration, or data engineering.
– 2+ years specifically using Talend (Open Studio, TAC, or Talend Cloud).
Functional Skills
– Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts (star schema, slowly changing dimensions, fact tables).
– Ability to analyze business requirements and convert them into robust ETL flows.
– Experience working with financial, manufacturing, retail, or ERP data (optional but beneficial).
– Strong understanding of API-driven communication and data exchange formats.
Technical Skills
– Proficiency with Talend DI, Talend Cloud, and Talend ESB components.
– Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server).
– Experience with REST/SOAP APIs, XML, JSON, and flat-file processing.
– Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
– Basic knowledge of scripting languages (Python, Bash).
– Agile/Scrum.
